The Distillery is contemporary gallery and community artspace dedicated to producing curated shows, arts programming, and innovative installations by artists of all stripes.
Located in a diverse neighborhood on the edge of the Palisade Cliffs in Jersey City, the Distillery is founded on the belief that it’s possible to provide professional showing opportunities for artists of all career stages while maintaining high-quality content and engaging the community in artistic dialogue.
Information for Artists
At this time the Distillery is only producing group shows. It doesn’t matter what your resume says or where you’ve shown before; all artists are welcome to submit work in response to our open calls. We receive a lot of submissions and do our best to consider all of them carefully, so please be patient if you don’t hear back from us right away. If your work fits with one of our shows in the works we’ll contact you, otherwise please keep an eye out for future calls and submit again. Just because your work isn’t right for one show doesn’t mean it won’t be right for another. Please join our mailing list to be updated on specific calls for work.
Structure
As a registered New Jersey non profit seeking tax exempt status, the Distillery Gallery Inc. is currently formalizing its board of directors and mission.
